Examining variable domain orientations in antigen receptors gives insight into TCR-like antibody design. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS Computational Biology, 2014
The variable domains of antibodies and T-Cell receptors (TCRs) share similar structures. Both molecules act as sensors for the immune system but recognise their respective antigens in different ways.

Discovery and Structural Characterization of a Highly Protective Neutralizing Antibody Targeting the Mpox Virus A35R Protein

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 7, July 2026.
High‐affinity monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) targeting the MPXV EEV protein A35R were rapidly isolated using mRNA‐LNP vaccination and the Beacon single‐cell sorting Optofluidic platform, followed by functional profiling. One mAb, 17H1, potently neutralized authentic MPXV and conferred complete protection in vivo.

An Aging Clock Based on Immune Repertoire Features: COVID‐19 Accelerates Aging

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 7, July 2026.
We systematically profiled TCR/BCR repertoires in Chinese individuals and paired COVID‐19 samples, revealed aging‐driven remodeling and COVID‐accelerated immune senescence, and built a reliable immune repertoire aging clock for immune senescence evaluation.

Coupling of Single Molecule, Long Read Sequencing with IMGT/HighV-QUEST Analysis Expedites Identification of SIV gp140-Specific Antibodies from scFv Phage Display Libraries

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2018
The simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV)/macaque model of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome pathogenesis is critical for furthering our understanding of the role of antibody responses in the prevention of HIV infection,

Full‐Length Next‐Generation Sequencing of 11 HLA Loci of More Than 1000 Individuals From Clinical Cohorts in East and West Africa

open access: yesHLA, Volume 108, Issue 1, July 2026.
ABSTRACT HLA loci have been implicated in several diseases, including HIV‐1, from different world populations. It is necessary to characterise HLA allele variation at the population level prior to investigating associations linked to human diseases. In global databases, limited high‐resolution HLA allele types generated by next‐generation sequencing ...

Evolution of T cell receptor beta loci in salmonids

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2023
T-cell mediated immunity relies on a vast array of antigen specific T cell receptors (TR). Characterizing the structure of TR loci is essential to study the diversity and composition of T cell responses in vertebrate species.

Humanized and Charge‐Optimized CSPG4‐Specific CAR‐T Cells show Enhanced Efficacy against Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 35, 24 June 2026.
CSPG4 is identified as a high‐value, stemness‐associated target in HPV‐negative HNSCC. By implementing rational biophysical engineering, a humanized and charge‐optimized CAR is developed to overcome tonic signaling‐induced exhaustion. This strategy induces a profound transcriptomic shift toward a rejuvenated, stem‐like memory state, significantly ...

The Steroidal Profile Modulates Adaptive Immune Response and Prognosis in Adrenocortical Carcinoma: Analysis of TCR and BCR Repertoires

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) is a rare and aggressive malignant neoplasm with limited therapeutic options and an often poor prognosis. A deeper understanding of its interaction with the immune system is essential for the advancement of personalized treatment strategies, particularly in light of the tumor heterogeneity of hormone production ...

IMGT®, biocuration of IG and TR in IMGT/LIGM-DB and IMGT/GENE-DB

open access: yes, 2016
IMGT®, the international ImMunoGeneTics information system, http://www.imgt.org , is the global reference in immunogenetics and immunoinformatics. By managing the extreme diversity and complexity of the antigen receptors of the adaptive immune response, the immunoglobulins (IG) or antibodies and ...
