ABSTRACT Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) results from the uncontrolled growth of lymphoid progenitors, yet the immunogenetic factors behind this remain poorly understood. A connection between specific HLA alleles, multi‐locus haplotypes and ALL predisposition was suggested, with an ethnic component to this association.

Unfavourable H‐CDR3 Loops in preB Cells Lead to Highly Expanded Plasma Cell Clones
In the absence of a pre‐BCR, a subset of mature B cells that expresses IgH chains with very short, hydrophobic and positively charged H‐CDR3 loops is generated. This results in massive clonal expansion and the development of autoreactive plasma cells exhibiting these characteristics.

HLA Class II Protein Expression Regulation Is Strongly Linked to Cis‐Acting SNPs
ABSTRACT Allele‐specific variability in HLA class I gene expression levels has been associated with many diseases. Although expression variation at the allelic level has not been well‐characterised for the HLA class II genes, differential expression of these genes, as marked by single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), has been implicated in the outcome ...

ABSTRACT Standardised data representation is fundamental to the integrity, interoperability and reproducibility of immunogenetics and histocompatibility testing. While well‐established standards such as the genotype list (GL) String, histoimmunogenetics markup language (HML) and minimum information for reporting next‐generation sequence genotyping ...

Antibody Informatics: IMGT, the International ImMunoGeneTics Information System
ABSTRACTAntibody informatics, a part of immunoinformatics, refers to the concepts, databases, and tools developed and used to explore and to analyze the particular properties of the immunoglobulins (IG) or antibodies, compared with conventional genes and proteins.

In teleost fish as in mammals, humoral adaptive immunity is based on B lymphocytes expressing highly diverse immunoglobulins (IG). During B cell differentiation, IG loci are subjected to genomic rearrangements of V, D, and J genes, producing a unique ...
