Progress and application of epitranscriptomic m6A modification in gastric cancer

open access: yesRNA Biology, 2022
The relationship between epitranscriptomics and malignant tumours has become a popular research topic in recent years. N6-methyladenosine (m6A), the most common post-transcriptional modification in mammals, is involved in various physiological processes ...

Targeting m6A Reader YTHDF1 Enhances Antitumor Immunity and Potentiates Anti‐PD‐L1 Efficacy in Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The m6A reader YTHDF1 drives intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) progression by remodeling the tumor immune microenvironment. YTHDF1 promotes MDSC recruitment via activation of m6A‐FOSL2‐CXCL6/CXCR2 axis, thereby suppressing CD8+ T cell infiltration and function.

Salsolinol as an RNA m6A methylation inducer mediates dopaminergic neuronal death by regulating YAP1 and autophagy

open access: yesNeural Regeneration Research
Salsolinol (1-methyl-6,7-dihydroxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline, Sal) is a catechol isoquinoline that causes neurotoxicity and shares structural similarity with 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine, an environmental toxin that causes Parkinson ...

HNRNPD Induces Radioresistance in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma by Sequestering GRAMD4 mRNA in Stress Granules

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
HNRNPD promotes radioresistance in nasopharyngeal carcinoma by enhancing stress granule assembly and sequestering GRAMD4 mRNA. This suppresses GRAMD4 translation and inhibits mitochondrial apoptosis. Targeting the integrated stress response with ISRIB restores GRAMD4 expression and sensitizes tumors to radiotherapy, revealing a translational control ...

Recent advances in dynamic m6A RNA modification [PDF]

open access: yesOpen Biology, 2016
The identification of m6A demethylases and high-throughput sequencing analysis of methylated transcriptome corroborated m6A RNA epigenetic modification as a dynamic regulation process, and reignited its investigation in the past few years.

Yeast m6 A methylated mRNAs are enriched on translating ribosomes during meiosis, and under rapamycin treatment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Interest in mRNA methylation has exploded in recent years. The sudden interest in a 40 year old discovery was due in part to the finding of FTO’s (Fat Mass Obesity) N6-methyladenosine (m6 A) deaminase activity, thus suggesting a link between obesity ...
