This work identifies M1 macrophage‐mediated inflammation as a key driver of BMSC senescence and bone microstructural deterioration at the enthesis. A tissue‐adhesive hydrogel delivering senomorphic small extracellular vesicles suppresses this inflammatory‐senescent cascade and enhances BMSC resilience by inhibiting the cGAS‐STING‐NF‐κB pathway.

ABSTRACT Ovarian aging is characterized by the reduction of the follicular pool and a progressive loss in oocyte quality. Although these changes have initially been attributed to oocyte alterations, increasing evidence indicates that stromal deterioration plays a central role in this process.

Cellular senescence is a cell fate triggered by stressful stimuli and displays a hypersecretory feature, the senescence‐associated secretory phenotype (SASP). Senescent cell burden increases with aging and contributes to age‐related organ dysfunction and

Cellular senescence and mitochondrial dysfunction disrupt adipose tissue homeostasis during aging, but mechanisms remain unclear. HDAC9 expression increases with age in mouse adipose tissue and Hdac9 knockout mice showed reduced fat mass, senescence markers, and enhanced mitochondrial gene expression, respiration, and thiosulfate sulfurtransferase (Tst)

Repurposing previously approved drugs may fast track the route to the clinic for potential senotherapeutics and improves the inefficiency of the clinical drug development pipeline. We performed a repurposing screen of 240 clinically approved molecules in human primary dermal fibroblasts for their effects on CDKN2A expression.

The number of senescent cells in the skin is increasing with age. Numerous studies have attempted to elucidate the role of these cells in normal aging of the skin as well as in age-related skin conditions. In recent years, attempts have also been made to

Inflammaging, cellular senescence, and cognitive aging after traumatic brain injury
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is associated with mortality and morbidity worldwide. Accumulating pre-clinical and clinical data suggests TBI is the leading extrinsic cause of progressive neurodegeneration.

AbstractIntrinsic and extrinsic factors, including lifestyle and sun exposure, can contribute to cell senescence, which impairs skin homeostasis, that may in turn lead to skin aging. Senescent cells have a specific secretome, called the senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) that includes MMPs, CXCLs and S100A8/9.

Apigenin (AP) is a natural flavonoid with senomorphic potential and neuroprotective action; however, poor aqueous solubility (<1 μg/mL) limits its bioavailability and therapeutic use. Therefore, the aim of this study was to obtain an amorphous dispersion of AP and evaluate its biological properties.
