Network Systems and String Stability

open access: yes, 2017
Network systems and their control are highly important and appear in a variety of applications, including vehicle platooning and formation con- trol. Especially vehicle platoons are highly investigated and an interesting problem that arises in this area is string stability, which broadly spoken means that a input signal amplifies unbounded as it ...

Engineered Living Systems With Self‐Organizing Neural Networks: From Anatomy to Behavior and Gene Expression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ectodermal tissue excised from Xenopus embryos self‐organizes into a three‐dimensional mucociliary organoid. Here, we generate a neural variant, termed neurobot, by implanting neural precursor cells. Neurobots develop mature neurons, adopt distinct morphologies, exhibit more complex motility, and respond differentially to neuroactive compounds. Imaging

Nonsingular Terminal Sliding Mode Control for Vehicular Platoon Systems with Measurement Delays and Noise

open access: yesComputation
Platooning of vehicular systems has been considered an effective solution for alleviating traffic congestion and reducing energy consumption. Because of limitations in onboard sensors, the measurement system inevitably suffers from measurement delays and

Stable non-uniform black strings below the critical dimension

open access: yes, 2012
The higher-dimensional vacuum Einstein equation admits translationally non-uniform black string solutions. It has been argued that infinitesimally non-uniform black strings should be unstable in 13 or fewer dimensions and otherwise stable.

AutomataGPT: Transformer‐Based Forecasting and Ruleset Inference for Two‐Dimensional Cellular Automata

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We introduce AutomataGPT, a generative pretrained transformer (GPT) trained on synthetic spatiotemporal data from 2D cellular automata to learn symbolic rules. Demonstrating strong performance on both forward and inverse tasks, AutomataGPT establishes a scalable, domain‐agnostic framework for interpretable modeling, paving the way for future ...

De Novo Multi‐Mechanism Antimicrobial Peptide Design via Multimodal Deep Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Current AI‐driven peptide discovery often overlooks complex structural data. This study presents M3‐CAD, a generative pipeline that leverages 3D voxel coloring and a massive database of over 12 000 peptides to capture nuanced physicochemical contexts.

Connected and Automated Vehicle Trajectory Control in Stochastic Heterogeneous Traffic Flow with Human-Driven Vehicles Under Communication Delay and Disturbances

open access: yesActuators
In this paper, we study the stability of the stochastically heterogeneous traffic flow involving connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) and human-driven vehicles (HDVs).

Wilson loops stability in the gauge/string correspondence

open access: yes, 2009
We study the stability of some classical string worldsheet solutions employed for computing the potential energy between two static fundamental quarks in confining and non-confining gravity duals. We discuss the fixing of the diffeomorphism invariance of

A Tac1‐Expressing Brainstem Pathway Underlies the Pathogenesis of Trigeminal Neuralgia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A critical TG‐Sp5CTac1‐PBNTac1 pathway drives trigeminal neuropathic pain (TNP). Tac1‐expressing parabrachial nucleus (PBNTac1) neurons exhibit heightened responses to innocuous stimuli in TNP, and chemogenetic inhibition of these neurons effectively prevents TNP development.
