This study elucidates that β‐elemene promotes cellular uptake of L. gasseri‐derived lactate by enhancing the membrane translocation of MCT1 in a CD147‐dependent manner. Intracellular lactate, through the lactylation of RBBP4 at the K26 site, recruits EP300 to the promoter regions of downstream genes (POLD1/POLD3), catalyzing H3K27ac modification.

Enhanced mitochondrial activity reshapes a gut microbiota profile that delays NASH progression
Improved mitochondrial activity, due to the lack of methylation‐controlled J protein (MCJ), creates a specific microbiota signature that when transferred through cecal microbiota transplantation delays NASH progression by restoring the gut‐liver axis and enhancing hepatic fatty acid oxidation.

Zonula occludin toxin, a microtubule binding protein
AIM:To investigate the interaction of Zot with microtubule.METHODS:Zot affinity column was applied to purify Zot-binding protein(s) from crude intestinal cell lysates. After incubation at room temperature, the column was washed and the proteins bound to the Zot affinity column were eluted by step gradient with NaCl (0.3molcenter dotL(-1) -0.5molcenter ...

Arsenic exposure results in differential phosphorylation of occludin. [PDF]
Occludin protein levels were significantly increased following a 5-day arsenic exposure that was coincident with an increased phosphorylation state seen most prominently in the banding pattern of the 3.9 μM As-treated cultures.

Probiotic B.p colonization elevated gut‐derived inosine level in the liver, while elevated inosine activated A2AR and subsequently blocked NPs‐induced polarization of M1 macrophages by repressing the miR155/SOCS1/NF‐κB pathway. This reduced the release of inflammatory cytokines and thereby, mitigated NPs‐induced hepatic injury.

Amuc_1473 Links Gut Microbes to Skeletal Homeostasis and Counteracts Multifactorial Osteoporosis
Amuc_1473, a previously uncharacterized protein enriched in Akkermansia muciniphila‐derived extracellular vesicles, is identified as a gut–bone messenger that promotes osteogenesis and inhibits osteoclastogenesis by engaging transcriptional and translational regulators in bone cells.

The functional antagonist of sphingosine-1-phosphate, FTY720, impairs gut barrier function
FTY720 or fingolimod is a known functional antagonist of sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P), and it is effective in treating multiple sclerosis and preventing inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

Experimental Basis for the High Oral Toxicity of Dinophysistoxin 1: A Comparative Study of DSP
Okadaic acid (OA) and its analogues, dinophysistoxin 1 (DTX1) and dinophysistoxin 2 (DTX2), are lipophilic and heat-stable marine toxins produced by dinoflagellates, which can accumulate in filter-feeding bivalves.
