Toosendanin Alleviates Cerebral Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury via Inhibiting Neural Ferroptosis Through Lipid Metabolic Reprogramming in MCAO Mice

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 6, June 2026.
Post‐stroke administration of TSN significantly reduced infarct volume, neuroinflammation, and improved functional recovery of MCAO mice. TSN alleviated neural oxidative stress, lipid peroxidation, and ferroptosis in MCAO mice. TSN modulated the infiltration of immune cells in MCAO mice in vivo and T cell differentiation in vitro.

Ferroptosis in breast cancer: From adipocyte–immune–iron regulation to therapeutic application

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
Ferroptosis in breast cancer is regulated by an integrated adipocyte–immune–iron network rather than by tumour‐intrinsic pathways alone. Adipocyte‐derived lipid substrates and redox metabolites, immune‐cell‐mediated cytokine signalling and iron‐dependent oxidative stress collectively shape a dynamic ferroptosis ecosystem that can shift tumours towards ...

Super‐enhancer‐driven KIAA1522 upregulation suppresses ferroptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
Critical points: Aberrantly activated SEs drive the overexpression of the oncogene KIAA1522 in HCC. Targeting SEs and knocking down KIAA1522 facilitate ferroptosis in HCC. As a key downstream effector of KIAA1522, ATF4 plays an essential regulatory role in ferroptosis mediated by the oncoprotein. Abstract Background Aberrantly activated super‐enhancers

Variation in the Oxidative State of Collared Flycatcher (Ficedula albicollis) Nestlings and Its Association With Their Plumage Coloration

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
Plumage coloration is widely recognized as an important component in intraspecific communication. Our aim was to examine the variation of oxidative parameters and their associations with the coloration of two different nestling plumage traits in collared flycatchers (Ficedula albicollis).

Food and Medicine Homologous Plants in Osteoporosis: A Scoping Review of Preclinical Evidence

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2026.
Food and medicine homologous (FMH) plants and their bioactive compounds exhibit potential osteoprotective effects through multiple complementary mechanisms, including estrogen‐like signaling, attenuation of oxidative stress, modulation of the gut microbiota–bone axis, and regulation of autophagy.
